The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is a Government-run military veteran benefit system and is the U.S. Government’s second largest department, after the Department of Defense (DoD). The VA employs nearly 280,000 people at hundreds of VA medical facilities, clinics, and benefits offices and is responsible for administering benefits programs for veterans and their families. Benefits include disability compensation, pension, education, home loans, life insurance, vocational rehabilitation, survivors’ benefits, medical benefits, and burial benefits.

As a service-disabled, veteran-owned (SDVO) small business, IEA shares and supports VA’s mission and core values. Within the VA, we provide OMB-300 Exhibit preparation for information technology (IT) investments, Microsoft® SharePoint workflow development, database conversion, and events management for multiple offices.

IEA provides program management support to the VA OMB Exhibit 300 Development Support Program. We currently provide portfolio management and capital planning and investment control (CPIC) support at the VA’s Office of Enterprise Operations and Field Development (EOFD). In this effort, we support select, control, and evaluate phase activities to ensure that IT investments align with the agency’s mission, support business needs, and comply with Federal mandates, policies, and regulations while minimizing risks and maximizing returns throughout the investment’s lifecycle.

For the VA, Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM), IEA manages an IDIQ contract to provide SharePoint Services. The CFM field staff is located throughout the U.S., which creates the need to have a collaborative tool that will allow the field and central office staff to work well on common tasks. The CFM requires a special level of expertise to automate some of its business processes. In this effort, IEA provides highly qualified personnel to provide the necessary support in SharePoint. These personnel will perform a wide range of tasks, to include custom workflow and webpart creation, database integration, business process automation, and site topology evaluation.

In addition, the VA has contracted with IEA to handle a specific scope of services for their events and conferences, to include all creative, technical, and logistical elements of event planning and management.
